As Yearbook Manager for Huntington ISD, I led a team to create the school yearbook, focusing on improving efficiency and collaboration. This role required me to manage the project timeline and budget, provide creative direction, and motivate a diverse team to achieve a common goal. My leadership was instrumental in successfully delivering a high-quality yearbook that captured the essence of the school year.

Key accomplishments and skills demonstrated include:

  • Project Management: Managed project timelines, tracked progress, and solved problems.

  • Budget Management: Allocated resources effectively within budget constraints.

  • Creative Direction: Developed a cohesive design theme and provided guidance on layout and photography.

  • Communication: Facilitated team meetings, provided constructive feedback, and collaborated with sponsors.

  • Technical skills: Proficient with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to complete various tasks

The Foundry

Lufkin, Texas

During my collegiate studies, I secured a contract to redesign the logo and overall branding for The Foundry Assembly of God. This project provided a valuable opportunity to apply my design expertise to a real-world client. It resulted in a modernized visual identity that effectively communicated the organization's mission and values to its members. The project involved close collaboration with the church leadership to understand their goals and create a design that resonated with their community.

This sleek and modern logo and wordmark, feature a crucible pouring molten metal into the letter you. This signifies The Foundry's goal to pour into their congregation and disciple their people through spiritual refining.

Subsequent to developing the church's new branding, I assumed a role within their youth ministry focused on strategic communications. As Social Media Manager, I was responsible for creating compelling and relevant digital content designed to engage young members and foster a vibrant online community.

The following is a Social Media Campaign I developed and executed for Foundry Student Ministries to promote their Summer Discipleship Program.

Key accomplishments and skills demonstrated include:

  • Content Creation: Developing engaging graphics, videos, and written posts tailored to the target audience.

  • Strategic Planning: Defining campaign goals, identifying key platforms, and scheduling content releases.

  • Audience Engagement: Monitoring social media channels, responding to inquiries, and fostering online community interaction.

  • Data Analysis: Tracking campaign performance, analyzing metrics, and identifying areas for optimization.

The Bridge

Zavalla, Texas

I had the opportunity to develop the logo and brand identity for The Bridge, a startup church in Zavalla, Texas. The church's mission, "The Bridge strives to be The Bridge between where people are, and where God has called them to be," served as the guiding principle for the design. To visually represent this mission, I created a stylized illustration of the Zavalla bridge—a recognizable local landmark—as the logo, symbolizing the transformative journey the church facilitates. In addition to the logo, I developed various print materials, including flyers, greeting cards, and business cards, to ensure a cohesive brand experience.

Key accomplishments and skills demonstrated include:

  • Brand Strategy: Understanding the client's mission and translating it into a visual concept.

  • Logo Design: Creating a unique and memorable logo that effectively communicates the brand's message.

  • Print Design: Designing visually appealing and effective marketing materials for print distribution.

  • Visual Communication: Selecting fonts, colors, and imagery that align with the brand's identity and resonate with its target audience.

  • Client Collaboration: Working closely with the client to ensure their vision was accurately represented in the design.

Adopted for Good

Lufkin, Texas

I had the distinct pleasure of illustrating "Adopted for Good" by Dede Kolb, a biographical children's book recounting the life story of Diana Kolb and drawing parallels to the biblical narrative of Joseph. I am proud to say that the book was recognized with the 2025 Children's Book International Competition award in the Biography Category.

Key accomplishments and skills demonstrated include:

  • Visual Storytelling: Interpreting the written narrative and translating it into compelling and evocative illustrations.

  • Character Design: Developing visual representations of characters that are consistent with the book's tone and message and demonstrate the subject's likeness.

  • Illustration Techniques: Utilizing digital illustration techniques to create visually engaging artwork.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with the author to ensure the illustrations effectively complement and enhance the story.

  • Project Management: Meeting deadlines and adhering to project specifications.
